Bougainvillea Bonsai Tree Type (Indoors) BOUGAINVILLEA -

A climber with oval, light green LEAVES and coloured, flower-like bracks (a modified leaf that suppleMEnts or takes the place of a leaf).

STYLE : Best suited to full or semi cascade, or literati.

WARNING : Insufficient light and too much or too little water may deter flowering.




Care Info

BOUGAINVILLEA -

REPOT : Every 3-4 years in spring. Use deep pot to keep ROOTS insulated from the heat.

SOIL : Free draining soil : 30:70 GRIT:organic.

PRUNE : Major branch PRUNING in winter.

PINCH: Prune out current years growth after flowering in early autumn, after flowering.

WATER : Almost dry in winter and evenly moist (never saturated) in growing season.

FEED : Low nitrogen during growing season. Chelated iron may improve colour of the BRACTs.

WARNING : Insufficient light and too much or too little water may deter flowering.
